Emergency First Response
The emergency first response course is a must-have course for divers and non-divers alike.
Prepare yourself to deal with life-threatening injuries, whether they occur at home with a family member or at the dive site with your dive buddy.
Primary Care (CPR) teaches you how to deal with emergencies that are immediately life-threatening.
Secondary Care (First Aid) covers injuries and illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening or when the emergency services are unavailable or delayed.
For divers this course is a pre-requisite for PADI Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Instructor level training.
Course Content :
Participants are taught how to respond and deal with emergencies through a combination of knowledge and skill development.
Once you have mastered the skills required for both primary and secondary care, you will be led through a number of realistic scenarios where you get to put your new skills and knowledge to practice in a controlled environment.
These scenarios give you the confidence to administer the most effective and appropriate care in the event of a genuine emergency - not to mention being a lot of fun!
